Empowering Female Scientists Through Connection and Confidence

The Women Only Retreat 2026 brought together female scientists from CRC 392 and several partner research networks for two days of professional development, networking, and exchange at Lake Chiemsee.
Through interactive workshops, participants explored their personal values and career goals, developed strategies for increasing their professional visibility, and strengthened their self-confidence and communication skills. Practical exercises also focused on confident presence, setting personal boundaries, and handling challenging situations.
Beyond the workshops, the retreat provided plenty of opportunities for informal exchange and networking in a relaxed setting. The event was met with highly positive feedback, highlighting the inspiring atmosphere, valuable workshops, and opportunity to connect with fellow female researchers.
The retreat was jointly organized by CRC 392, CRC 325, RTG 2620, and the International Doctoral Program Photo-Electro Catalysis (IDK PEC), with support from the TUM Diversity & Inclusion team.
